Monitoring Pump Case Study Summary
Monitoring Pump Performance and Accurately Measuring Flow at Pump Stations B Dawson, B Beaudoin - Proceeding of WEFTEC 1997Abstract: A pump station flow monitor monitors the operation of the pumps stations as the wet well fill and is emptied. Combining this information with the known volume between the levels in the wet well, the flow monitor uses patented algorithms to calculate the flow into and out of the pump station, and the pumping rate of each pump. By using drawn down calculations rather than manufacturers' pump curves, influent flow and pump capacity at most pump stations can be measured with 1%.
New from Envitech: Controller 702 A combination of pump controller and monitoring unit. Together with a PowerCom or GSM/GPRS modem, this unit is highly suitable for monitoring of waste water pumping stations and water boring pumps. Forming part of the new FlowSys range of instrumentation from Envitech Ltd.
