Visocolor ECO Nickel
Colorimetric determination of Nickel.
In ammonia solution, nickel ions react with diacetyl dioxime after oxidation with bromine to form a reddish-brown dye.
Insoluble nickel compounds (e. g. nickel cyanide, nickel carbonate) and the nickel cyano complexes are not determined.
Nickel can be present in industrial waste water. It occurs as the divalent ion or as a nickel complex.
Visocolor kits can be supplied as a full kit including colour chart, or as a refill kit (without the colour chart). The charts are specially printed for colour consistency, so clients are advised to keep these carefully so that only the refill kit is needed for future use.
