Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD)

Chemical Oxygen Demand

QuickCODultra

Chemical Oxygen Demand Monitor

COD Monitor

Chemical Oxygen Demand is a measure of the organic load in a substance and, is therefore important as a measure of pollution, quantifying organic product loss and calculating effluent charges. The QuickCODultra uses high temperature oxidation to oxidise the sample, and measures the resulting drop in oxygen level. This gives a direct measurement of C.O.D. using robust technology which gives a continuous output of Chemical Oxygen Demand value.

ELOX 100

Chemical Oxygen Demand Monitor

COD Analyser

The ELOX offers a cost effective measurement of Chemical Oxygen Demand for many applications. The ELOX creates hydroxyl radicals which have an extremely high oxidation power - and yet the instrument requires no hazardous reagents.

COD spectrometer

COD spectrometer

GO-Sys_isa

GO-Sys_ISA is a spectrometer working in the wavelength range of 200-720nm (UV). Each measurement gives an absorption spectra over the whole wavelength range. The GoSys_isa can be used to measure COD, TOC, Nitrate and other parameters.

COD test kits

COD test kits

Macherey and Nagel manufacture a range of benchtop and portable photometers and test kits available from Envitech Ltd in the UK.
This range covers a variety of water and wastewater parameters including Chemical Oxygen Demand. All of the photometers can measure COD, right down to the PF3-COD, the most compact photometer in the range.

We are more than happy to help identify the best way to measure specific parameters in different applications

You can either Fill in our Application Survey contact form to let us know more details about your monitoring requirements, or check our analyser comparison tables:

LAR analysers are suitable for a wide range of applications and can measure a wide range of parameters. In many cases, multiple parameters can be measured with the same instrument. Please check out both our LAR 'parameter' table and 'application' table, to help identify the instrument best suited to your needs.
