InsiteIG PSS
The PSS incorporates near-infrared technology to provide increased dependability of the reading when colour changes in the solids occur - this sensor is designed to be used with the Insite Portable Meter (IPM).
Fast, accurate solids readings are available with this sensor when combined with the Insite Portable Meter (IPM). The sensor is available in two ranges:
- [PSS sensor] Standard Range (250 to 30,000 mg/l)
- [PSSL sensor] Low Range (0 to 1,500 mg/l)
Solid state electronics in the PSS and PSSL sensor increases consistency of the reading and reliable digital communications up to 2000 ft
The PSS sensor comes with a military spec. connector for easy connection to the IPM. In addition it may be supplied with the custom-designed 'PortaCaddie' offering the user convenient cable management whilst offering a degree of protection to the sensor and to the hand-held logger.
Each of the 5 sensors for the IPM are interchangeable, so a single IPM can log readings from any sensor.

- PSS: +/-5% of reading or 100 mg/l whichever is greater
- PSSL: +/-5% of reading or 2 mg/l whichever is greater
Repeatability:
- +/-1% of reading or 2 mg/l whichever is greater
Response Time:
- 95% in under 60 seconds
The IPM can connect to the following Sensors:
- Dissolved Oxygen
- Suspended Solids
- pH / ORP
